Mickey calls for help from the Doctor and Rose when he believes that a local school has a sinister secret.  The Doctor and Rose infiltrate the school in disguise as a history teacher and a school dinner lady. On their arrival, the Doctor discovers that an old friend is also on the mystery trail.  Sarah-Jane Smith has arrived to investigate the school and she has a bittersweet reunion with a face from her past and leaves Rose in no doubt as to the reality of her legacy as a Time Lord's travelling companion.  The unlikely foursome discover that the school has unusually intelligent students, a serious bat problem and a dubious school dinner menu to boot!  What is causing these phenomena and can the doctor

Three thousand year later, the Doctor, rose and Mickey find themselves on an old worn-out spaceship, which produces a considerable quantity of energy for unknown reasons. Are the two secrets connected somehow? Madame de Pompadour's only hope lies with the mysterious stranger who has appeared to her since her childhood.  Can the Doctor save her and at what cost?

Synopsis: Bride-to-be Donna mysteriously vanishes as she prepares to marry her boyfriend Lance in a glittering ceremony on Christmas Eve. She suddenly appears, to her complete astonishment, in the TARDIS with the Doctor. As the TARDIS races to get to the church on time, the Doctor and Donna are closely watched by the sinister figure of The Empress of Racnoss from her throne in her spaceship. It soon becomes clear that Donna is the key to an ancient alien plan to destroy the Earth.
